Winchester Canyon Multigun Aug. 2, 2026. 1st Overall

Winchester Canyon and subsequently their Multigun and Falling Plates competitions are the genesis for my action shooting sports journey, and I’ve made it a point to compete in them for upwards of 12 years at this point, and acted as the Multigun match director for at least a couple years in there as well. It’s a small local event with people looking to have a fun time more than anything, but the competition at the top of the field is better than it’s ever been and the event itself operating more efficiently than it ever has thanks to the match directors that came after me. It’s always nice to be able to show up and try and help out the newer shooters as much as I can, no matter if that means loaning gear or offering advise, or even just attempting to keep the environment light so that a good experience means they’ll come back and hopefully visit other area competitions as well. A 1st overall at this match means more now than it ever did in the past.
