SoCal Tactical Games Skirmish May 9, 2026. 1st Overall, Men’s Intermediate 1st

After the previous Tactical Games I told myself that I didn’t need to put myself through that again, and then shortly afterwards I signed up for the May 9 event. To be honest this time I didn’t take it seriously with workouts or diet and the reality of that crept in more and more as match day neared. That said now that I had an idea of what it would take to stay at the top I focused on my shooting. This time around I brought a stock Glock 17 as opposed to the Atlas, and managed to sweat, cuss, and hurt my way through the day. As I was making a trip to the trash can after the shooting was done, the match director insisted that I check the scores that had been posted, and lo and behold my name was on the top. Again telling myself that I’d had enough of that, a week later I found myself hitting the “register” button on the much larger 2 day regional Tactical Games event in October at Cowtown in Phoenix.
