SoCal Long Range Gas Gun match, Mar 28 2026. 1st place overall.

The Gas Gun matches in Piru started late in 2025 and brought with them an appealing mix of speed and precision with overall finishing positions being determined by your base time for a stage plus a time penalty for any missed target impacts. The result was something that favored those who were efficient in their mechanics and understood both the technical side of long range shooting along with the “predictive” style of USPSA or Multigun. I competed in Tactical Light division which limited me to 5.56, 18” barrel maximum and 8x scope power maximum (10x scopes are allowed but only if the low end of magnification is 1x) and ended up taking not just the division win but the overall win with it.
